Rail freight is another option instead of sea freight or air freight. The advantage of rail freight over air freight is that there are no costly pre- and post-carriage times and that the cost savings are 50 per cent lower than with air freight. The advantage of rail freight over sea freight is that the transport of rail freight is faster than the transport of sea freight.
